I just got married in March and am interested in finding cute wooden yard decorations for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Any websites where I can find these?!?!

Every year retailers try to pre-empt Thanksgiving, and even Halloween now, by putting up their Xmas decorations, and sales propaganda. Well this year I have outsmarted them all. I have purchased and put up all of my 2007 christmas display this year, so that next year they will lose money when I don’t buy their stuff. How smart am I? You should all do this to, and then we will really show them who is the smartest.

I don’t really decorate for holidays. For some reason, probably my kids. im in the mood to put up our christmas tree already. We usually put it up Dec 1. Do you think it would be weird and way to early to put it up now? Im in the christmas spirit.
We have a fake tree. We usually dont put ours up intil at least december. i will probably wait until after thanksgiving, ill just take my kids with me to pick out decoration etc,.. thanx

I live in Canada, so thanksgiving has already past. Would it then be reasonable to put decorations today? My family and i just love Christmas.

This has got me annoyed. I can’t imagine sitting at the table on Thanksgiving and looking at a Christmas tree or decorations while trying to enjoy this particular holiday. What would seperate Christmas dinner from Thanksgiving dinner when you are looking at highly decorated christmas wreaths, bows andtrees with garlands, ornate ornaments, bulbs and an angel or star at the very top on both holidays??

For Thanksgiving, the decorations were always the cornicopia or Horn of Plenty, gourds, autumn colors, turkey, native american and pilgrim figures, corn stalks, dried ears of red corn and other such harvest decorations. It seems now with Christmas on the rush that Thanksgiving is being pushed aside.

Why is everyone rushing into Christmas these days?? It’s not like people are rushing into the Chistmas spirit (which wouldn’t be all that bad except for the scrooges) but rather the glamour of Christmas. It’s all about the ooooh’s and ahhhh’s and that just blows.

Do you wait until after Thanksgiving or do it before?

I have to prepare tables in the simplest way, not too expensive, for monthly senior citizens luncheon. I have ideas for the months that pertain major holidays like Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas,et.

Need ideas for January, April and so forth.
